Malnutrition
Malnutrition is a major issue contributing to economic instability and social imbalance. It often stems from low social status and inadequate access to nutritious food, leading to deficiencies in both the quality and quantity of diet necessary for proper bodily functions. Mismanagement of dietary intake further exacerbates this problem.
At Surman Sansthan, we have encountered many heartbreaking cases of children suffering from malnutrition due to harsh living conditions. One such case involved a young girl found unconscious on a railway platform, her skeletal frame painfully visible, with only her eyes reflecting a faint glimmer of life. We brought her into our care, provided medical attention and nourishment, and helped her regain her health. Today, she is not only healthy and educated but also cares for other children in our organization.
