Child Trafficking

Child Trafficking - According to the National Crime Records Bureau, a child goes missing or is kidnapped every eight minutes in India, highlighting the widespread issue of child trafficking.

At Surman Sansthan, we encountered a heartbreaking case of an eight-year-old girl who was kidnapped from a railway platform by a trafficking gang, lured by promises of chocolates and clothes. Our founder, Manan Chaturvedi, regularly visits slum areas to distribute brochures and raise awareness about our support services. Remarkably, this young girl managed to call our helpline number from the brochure, seeking help. Together with the police, our team rescued her from the traffickers’ trap. Today, she is well-educated and happily married into a respectable family a testament to the power of hope and dedicated intervention.
